The King and the Carpet
King Patrick held up the carpet and said, “This is brilliant. I need to find someone to copy this and put it in my kingdom.”
Maria and Newton glanced at each other. Then they both looked down, hiding their eyes from the king. For a few moments, all that could be heard was the rattling of the coach and the clopping of the horses’ hooves.
Suddenly Mark blurted out, “A carpet would be easy to make. It wouldn’t take much work at all.”
